I Hurt My Neck Which Caused Severe Back Of Head

I hurt my neck which caused severe back of head behind the ear throbbing on and off for 3 weeks. I went to see a Chiropractor yesterday, he did the usual cracking and massages, today I feel very soar with little throbbing, no headache. How long before I feel completely well? I mean this injury was minor, trying to lift a piece of furniture that didn't weigh much but I am 55 yrs. old and petite so I guess I can no longer do such things. I also pulled a muscle on my lower back as well which healed in 2 weeks but the neck part is what baffles me. It also caused my pressure to sky rocket so my primary doctor right away prescribed 25 mg pressure pills. I just want to know how long before I heal and could this be something else all together? I have no fever, vomiting, dizziness or diarrhea just light pressure in my head because I also aggravated my TMJ. I am concerned it could be heart, like a clog, they did send me for 4 cardio tests but not scheduled for another 2 wks. Thank you for your feedback. YYYY@YYYY
