I Injured My Ankle 2 Years Ago (bad Twist) In

I injured my ankle 2 years ago (bad twist) in actualityI have always had very weak ankles. Last year I again twisted my ankle it hurt for several weeks however X-rays did not show a break...now my ankle is black and blue I have not twisted it. Should I be worried or could it possibly just be an effect of an old injury and cold weather
