I Just Began Taking Birth Control Pills Nearly 9 1/2

I just began taking birth control pills nearly 9 1/2 weeks ago. My last cycle was on 12/5/14, however Ibe been having daily and frequent nausea, carsickness, and dizziness slight weight gain, I went to the doctor today, they did a urine pregnancy test, but it was negative. Is there a possibility that I may be pregnant but the urine pregnancy test was taken to early in the stages to detect hcg hormones to test positive?
