I Just Finished A Bout With Influenza, Sinus Infection,and Pneumoni.
I just finished a bout with Influenza, sinus infection,and pneumoni. I took Levofloxacin for that the diseases. I thought I was finished and all was good. I went to my doctor last Thursday for a physical and all was determined to be good. He also clean wax out of my ear.
Now on Monday I started to have ear ache and began coughing up yellowish flem but no temperature. I am also having sinus issues. So I called my doctor and he called in a prescription for Doxycycline Hyalite. I have been taking it since Monday and I am still coughing up the flem particularly at night when lying down all night. I also have raspy breathing that gets better after coughing up the flem. Any suggestions. Do I need to be more patient for the medication to work? Could it be a virus instead of infection? How long do you suggest me continuing without calling the doctor?
