I Just Found A Tick On My Back. I Thought

I just found a tick on my back. I thought it was a scab at first, so I picked at it. It looks like a very small spider. My husband and I was working in our back yard 2 days ago, it used to be a deer preserve. Can you please confirm if a tick bit me? Thanks
