I Just Got My Prescription For Birth Control Today But

I just got my prescription for birth control today but I forgot you're suppose to take your first pill on the first day of your period problem is i've already had my period for the month it ended 3 days ago and I just took my pill whats going to happen should I not take it again till nxt month when i get my period again or just continue to take it
