Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had a CT chest screen and calcium scoring procedure. All of that came out fine. However, there was a coincidental finding of "the right adrenal gland is partially included but appears thickened. Benign hepatic cyst right node....Thicken appearance of right adrenal gland, which is only partially included. Recommend adrenal protocol or MRI for further evaluation."
I just had x-rays and an MRI on my lower back, and a mammogram and complete physical, with no sign of any problem. I have never had any type of cancer and I am in excellent health other than a problem with my lower back. I take medication for thyroid and blood pressure. I was shocked by the apparent finding on the adrenal gland. What could be causing it?
