I Just Had A Surgeon Take A Hemorrhoid Out Today.

I just had a surgeon take a hemorrhoid out today. I had it looked at exactly a week ago in the ER and they decompressed the external hemorrhoid. Now my incision is oozing yellow puss along with blood. He said I cannot have stitches because of risking an infection... Why is it doing this and should I see my doctor as soon as possible? I have a follow up due to other hemorrhoids but they are way smaller than the one I had this past time.
