I Just Had My Colonoscopy And A Polyp Was Removed

I just had my Colonoscopy and a polyp was removed ,,it was a frond- like villous polyp.. Having the polyp removed, is it likely that it might become cancer? . The doctor's office called me this morning and tell me not to worry.. But I don't know if there should be any concern if the polyp is benign or not?
