Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had my third jaw surgery for TMJ. This time they removed my disc replacing it with fat on the right side of my jaw. About two weeks after surgery a sound started sounding like my jaw and skull bone rubbing together. It is very painful but also annoying like nails on a chalk board. This happens upon opening my jaw. Does anyone know what this could be? To best describe the noise I hear make a fist and take your other hand and rub it on top of your fist quickly, best way to describe it. Also, now I have constant ringing in my right ear which gets worse when I lay down. Not painful just really annoying. Thanks for reading.
