I Just Had Surgery And Am Taking Oxycodone Every Three

I just had surgery and am taking oxycodone every three hours plus OxyContin every 12 hours. I don't want to take such strong opiates but the pain is controlled. Next week me suggested I step down with norco which I cannot tolerate. Could tylonol 3 replace the norco for pain management?
