I Just Had Surgery On My Leg To Take Care

I just had surgery on my leg to take care of some varicose veins. I have a red/ brown color on my legs. The doctor said it is from blood leakage and the discolorization is from the iron in the blood. What can I do to get this red/brown rash to go away?
