I Just Jumped Up From Sleeping To Either A Bronchial

I just jumped up from sleeping to either a bronchial spasm or asthma attack. Luckily I had my inhaler near the bed, but 2 puffs would not do it. I took me about 6 tries before I could stop gasping. Is there some other way to control these attacks with daily meds?
