I Just Learned That A Friend Of Mine Has Had

I just learned that a friend of mine has had Wegeners disease for over a year. I was trying to get answers on this page, but when I click on the various statements below, it doesn't give any answers. How does one catch this disease? Can it be cured or Is it fatal? What is the prognosis after a year of learning you have it?
