I Just Started Taking Birth Control And I Know One

I just started taking birth control and I know one of the side effects are blood clots. Blood clots run in my family and recently my leg has been feeling weird it’s not pain but it just feels kind of tight should I go in to get checked for blood clots or could it just be that I am overthinking it?
