I Just Started Working Again After 5 Years. I Started

I just started working again after 5 years. I started having numbness in my middle and ring fingers but now it has been my whole hand up my arm, it comes and goes but now it has turned to pain as well. My hand is swollen and is hard to make a fist. I bought a splint for carpel tunnel but I haven't noticed any difference, can you please help?
