I Just Used Tweezers To Pull Out Two Small Black

I just used tweezers to pull out two small black raised spots on my husbands back. The first one pulled out kind of a long (1") kind of gooey matter. The second one was shorter. It did not hurt him when I removed it, but it did leave a little pock mark.

What do you think it could be?
