I Just Woke Up And My Throat Feels Swollen. I

I just woke up and my throat feels swollen. I can still talk and breathe and walk but it hurts on the side right below the mandible but its not excruciatingly painful. It hurts to the point that I know its there but it only hurts just a little bit. Also I have a headache and my nose is a little stuffed on my right side, but I can still smell. So my real question is this: is the sinuses pressure causing my headache and is that why my throat hurts because I keep spitting out mucus. What I'm confused about the most is that I've had sinuses before but my throat wasn't slightly swollen like it is now.
