I Left A Tampon In For Some Time Possibly Two

I left a tampon in for some time possibly two weeks. I've removed the tampon but haven't been feeling great. Chills and a little dizzy. I scheduled an appointment with my internist in two days. Is it alright to wait? I do not have a fever and my BP is normal.
