I Live In Eastern Washington State My Wife Has Been

I live in Eastern Washington state my wife has been diagnosed with dementia, and has recently suffered a stroke, we were living in an assisted care facility and have been told she cannot return to my care.
There is a memory care unit here, but from what little I have been able to learn it is only a transitional stage between where she is now and her passing.
My question is is there any means available to try to regenerate her memories, or at least try?
It saddens me to look and only find the available treatment is playing children's games, there appears to be no attempt to stimulate her memories.
