I made the mistake of overusing fleet enemas for 3 months when constipated. The solution saturated almost the entire intestinal track. A slippery, semitransparent material was produced once in contact with the intestinal walls. It coated the large bowels, colon and rectum. I then noticed a surge of whitesh yellow fluffy (fatty) stools. Shocked, I discontinued use. It has taken over 4 1/2 years to rid my intestinal track of the material. I am lucky that I did not die from bowel obstruction and/or renal failure. My hair fell out about 2 yrs after usage. I presume caused by an autoimmune response to the material. I am surprised that a product like Fleet is allowed to be sold over the counter. Mind you , I am a chemist. The ingredients only listed sodium phosphate solution. I am still perplexed what the slippery material is, it looks like a synthetic polymeric material.
