I May Have Broken/cracked A Small Bone In The Back

I may have broken/cracked a small bone in the back of my left hand. There might be slight swelling. I may have hit my hand when I slipped on a ceramic tile floor earlier today. I have no pain when relaxed. I can straighten my fingers without pain I can make a relaxed fist with no pain. However, when I try to tighten the fist I have pain on the outside (along the pinky or second finger bone area midway to wrist). If I twist the hand, pain. Pressing down with fingers or pulling them upward hurts. Should I wait and see how it feels tomorrow or get an X-ray tonight? Could it just be a deep bruise?
