I Moved To Alabama 1 Year Ago And Changed Doctor's

I moved to Alabama 1 year ago and changed Doctor's now the new Dr has put me on Klor-Con M20 2 times a day and Lorsartan 50mg.
now my legs are swollen I am on Furosemide 20 mg but it is not really helping
My old Doctor never told me my Potasium was low
Why would it have been RX'd now
