I Need An Orthopedic Opinion On Knee Surgery. Case: 84
I need an Orthopedic opinion on Knee Surgery.
Case: 84 yrs young, very active had fall 12/26/15. Taken to ER.
Diagnosis: no fractures. Sent home. Only couldn't go home, no care there and stairs.
Sent to Care facility. Some physical therapy there. Care terrible.
Home with care giver, by ambulance, (stairs).
Saw Orthopod 1/6/16 via ambulance. FRACTURED L lateral crush Tibia.
Scheduled for surgery (4 screws and plate) on Saturday 1/16.
"Will probably need knee replacement in a couple of years" by Orthopod.
Question: Why not do Knee Replacement now?
