I No Longer Have Insurance. A Friend Suggested NEO 40

I no longer have insurance. A friend suggested NEO 40 in place of the blood pressure medicine I currently take. I am a 49 year old male and I take 160 mg's of Diovan (generic Valsartan) once every morning. He (an athlete aged 29 with high blood pressure) takes Neo 40 and LArginine. His father (aged 63) takes Neo 40 as well. Both men have been taking the NEO 40 and are doing fine. I would like to switch to the NEO 40 from the Diovan (generic Valsartan) . The only other med I take is pravastatin for cholesterol. Would the NEO 40 be ok to take along with the pravastatin?
