I Noticed That There Is A Piece Of Plastic In

I noticed that there is a piece of plastic in my order of soup, I saw how they boiled it and I believe it is in very high heat. The plastic have probably melted in the soup but I have already almost finished it when I saw the piece of plastic.
Will it cause anything on me? I heard that plastics cause cancers.
