I Only Feel The Pain When I Swallow Food/saliva. If

I only feel the pain when i swallow food/saliva. If i dont swallow there is no pain. I also have pain on the left side of my tongue as well. I feel pain when I chew on the left side. I touch the gum it doesn't pain. What cause my pain? thanks so much for your help.
