I Own A Nail Salon And I Have Students Under

I own a nail salon and I have students under me. One of my students said she had a sinus infection with open soars in her nose and did a pedicure on an older client that had fungus( they are for in to treat clients with fungus.. I did see the clients toes and thought it looked like she had some trama but not fungus). And the fungus went up her nose and caused staph... Is this even possible?
