I Play Co Ed Softball. I Got Hit In The

I play co ed softball. I got hit in the leg on the bone right next to my knee. It swelled and bruised instantly. The bruise is about the same size of the softball and is spreading around to the front of my knee. Its been a week since it happened, and its still really sore to touch especially around the bone area and it still has a knot and swelling. Should i get it x- rayed or is it to late to do anything?
