I Ran Into A Dresser Drawer Hitting My Left Leg

I ran into a dresser drawer hitting my left leg just below my knee. It hurt a lot after the incident happened and I had some swelling. Little bruise. I can walk on it but there is a quarter size hard knot where I hit it and it hurts too the touch. Should I wait and see if it gets better?
