I Recently Broke My Tibia Plateau And My Foot Has

I recently broke my tibia plateau and my foot has been red and swollen since the 2nd day. When I look at my foot I can see tiny little red dots all over. I returned to the ear per the doctors request and they did an X-ray and said there is no trauma to the foot and sent me home. My foot is sensitive and I am getting concerned.
