I Recently Developed Bloating In The Upper Abdomen, Worse After

I recently developed bloating in the upper abdomen, worse after eating. I have had atrial fibrillation for 6 months and my cardiologist said it could be from the erratic blood flow for digestion. I had successful cardioversion yesterday but the bloating persists. An abdominal sonogram ruled out ascites. Is it possible that the bloating will take time to resolve or should I make an apt with a gastroenterologist?
