I Recently Developed The Symptoms Of Acute Labyrinthitis (onset Within

I recently developed the symptoms of acute labyrinthitis (onset within last 5 days), with vertigo, right sided mild hearing loss and sound sensitivity, mild headache, a few episodes of vomiting and overall sense of feeling unwell. I am a physician (Med-peds, pediatric cardiology) as well, and did go to the ER for evaluation with negative Cat scan and normal labs other than mild dehydration. I understand, through lit searches, that this is usually a self-limiting illness and have been doing vestibular training exercises, however what has been concerning me now is onset of mild bell's palsy of the ipsilateral face. The vertigo is improving, however now I'm worried about Ramsay-Hunt syndrome. I did have chicken pox as a child. I don't have any outright symptoms of neuralgia or vesicular rash of the ear, but there is a tiny spot on the pinna that is occasionally tender to palpation. Again I understand that herpes zoster oticus does not always present with the classic shingles like rash, but I should at least have some significant otalgia, right? I'm half way through a medrol dose pack, and am just wondering if I'm overreacting or if I should be taking an antiviral. Any help would be appreciated!
