I Recently Fainted And Hit The Back Of My Head

I recently fainted and hit the back of my head hard on a corner wall (rounded corner). There is a dent in the wall where my head hit and my head began to swell straight away. I've had a bag of frozen corn on my head for about half an hour. I had fasted for the past three days during which time I would feel light headed if I got up to fast. I broke my fast today, eating fruit and fruit juice. I got up very quickly right before I fainted. I am an international student and I don't have medical insurance. Is it necessary for me to see a doctor? Should I continue with cold compress?
