I Recently Got Admitted To Hospital With Suspected Appendicitis Went

I recently got admitted to hospital with suspected appendicitis went down to have them removed and was found to be a febrial cyst that was hard and they decided to leave it and close me back up and refer to a gynaecologist can I ask why they didn't remove it and what will happen going forward?
