I Recently Had A Bad Pap Smear So Further Testing

I recently had a bad pap smear so further testing has been done. Colposcopy, D & C, Hysteroscopy and Cold Cone Knife. Biopsy reports good except the Cone (which was moderate dysplasia). MD says 99% sure I got it from HPV. OMG how can this be. I told (accused) my bf that it came from him. He had told me that his X also accused him of giving her cervical cancer 8 years ago. Is this possible? He has an apt. today w/his clinic to see if he does have HPV. I have had 3 partners in my life (66 yrs), whereas my bf has had many many (as he says it). Wow! Everything I read tells me there is no way I can find out for sure. Help Please. - PLE
