I Recently Had A Blood Panel Run. The Nurse Called

I recently had a blood panel run. The nurse called when the results came in and said everything looked fine except that my bad cholesterol level was a little elevated, but still acceptable

My LDL CALC-LDL CALCULATED READS 119 when they would like for it to be under 100.

When I asked for a print out, I discovered there were a couple of things out of range that were not mentioned.

One was NON -HDL CHOL-NON-HDL CHOLESTEROL READS 140 WHEN SHOULD BE LESS THAN 130

BA%-BASOPHILS% WAS 1.3 WHEN NORMAL IS 0-1.0

ALT-ALT/SGPT READS 51 WHEN IT SHOULD BE BETWEEN 0-33.

could you explain the BA consideration and in particular the ALT which I understand concerns the liver. When I asked a nurse at a health fair, she said doctors don't usually take measures until these levels are double what they should be.

I am not comfortable just waiting to see what happens. Could you explain further and make suggestions?

I am obese, do not eat eggs and have one glass of wine one a month at card club.
