I Recently Had A Calf Muscle That Feels Warm, &

I recently had a calf muscle that feels warm, & strained..its been 3 days. Is it just a strained muscle, or could it be a blood clot? Theres no redness or bruising, though. I broke the same leg 4 yrs ago, & because my knee has remained at a bent position for a long time, could any extension of the leg result in sharp pain in my upper calf, near the knee?
