I Recently Had A Chest Xray Where The Findings Were

I recently had a chest xray where the findings were noted as: Subsegmental pneumonitis and/or atelectasis in the anterior or medial basal segment of the left lower lobe. Associated proximal inflammatory or reactive airways disease. No hilar adenopathy or pleural effusion. My doctor called me with the results but was rather vague as to what this means. Can you please clarify.
