I Recently Had A Health Scare. Went To The ER

I recently had a health scare. Went to the ER with intense headache. It was an 8 on a 10 point scale. BP 142 over 79, normally 110 over 65. Thought it may be the precursor of a stroke, aneurysm, etc. Is there any over the counter medicine I can take if I have another episode?
