I Recently Had An EGD And Was Told I Have

I recently had an EGD and was told I have a hiatal hernia and will be going for a follow up discussion with my dr. My question is this, I am experiencing numbness in my left side over my ribs, is this a side effect of the hernia? Please note: I had already gone to my cardiologist and had a EKG and sonogram of my heart (right before my EGD) and the results were that my heart is ok, so it is not a heart issue. I'm concerned about the numbness in my side.
