I Recently Had An Absess On My Buttocks Lanced. The

I recently had an absess on my buttocks lanced. The packing tape came out the next day and the day I was suppose to go back we had a tropical storm and I have not made it back to get checked. Husband said it is still hard and is afraid I might still have something in there. Is it normal for it to be hard. Nervous and really scared.
