I Recently Had An Eye Exam In Which My Doctor

I recently had an eye exam in which my doctor said that my optic nerve looked like it had some bruising. The doctor said this was normal for people with myopia and that for people with more sever myopia, the bruising would be even more severe. Could you please verify this? Should I get a second opinion?
