I Recently Had Knee Replacement Surgery. I Was Taking Abstention

I recently had knee replacement surgery. I was taking abstention and tramodal I was feeling very good after a while so I stopped taking my medication. Big mistake. I have been having pains so I started taking the tramadol but got a terrible reaction. I should have continued my medication. Did I do something to interrupt the recovery process? I am worried.
