I Recently Had To Be Hospitalized For An Obstructed Bowel.

I recently had to be hospitalized for an obstructed bowel. They had to put a hose in my nose and drain my floods out of my intestines. The hospital surgeon did not give me very clear instructions when he released me. He said to go on a liquid diet for 2 weeks and then soft food diet for 2 more than resume regular eating. Can you help me on what a liquid diet consists of? I have been on it for over a week and feel pretty limited on what I can have. Not much energy right now. I am 56 years old, male and in good physical shape. This was a surprise. Thanks for your help.
