I Recently Observed A Purplish Black And Blue Type Mark

I recently observed a purplish black and blue type mark on my right side just above my waist. It is slightly sensitive to touch but does not impede any strenuous exercise I do nor am I aware of it. I did notice it after a vacation where I had been splitting a lot of firewood
