I Recently Pulled A Muscle In My Lower Back, This

I recently pulled a muscle in my lower back, this happens at least a few times every year, usually it happens from normal daily activities. Ibuprofen has been very helpful in taking care of most of the pain but I wanted to know how long I can safely take it?
