I Recently Ran Into A Steel Pipe On My Shin,

I recently ran into a steel pipe on my shin, it left a big knot. I thought it was just a bump and go away in couple of days.now the pain has traveled along the side of my leg and down to my ankle. Sometimes I cannot even sleep some nights. Don you think there is possible nerve damage? It's been 10days, the knot has shrunken about 60%.
