I Recently Removed A Large Oleander From Our Back Yard,

I recently removed a large Oleander from our back yard, we've lived here nearly two years now. I am re landscaping and would like to grow fruits or vegetables in the spot. I removed the "root ball" and as many roots as I can. My concern is whether anything grown there will be safe to eat... if what I grow could absorb toxins left by the oleander in the soil.
