I Recently Saw My Primary Because I Have Pain In

I recently saw my primary because I have pain in the left side of my neck when I swallow. Onset was gradual. That side of the neck is a little puffy but he said that nodes where not swollen. He checked my throat and nose and said that they were red so he is treating me for allergies with flonase and daily allegra. He also put me on a 7 day predinasone to take care of puffiness and pain I experience in that side of my neck when swallowing. Throat does not hurt when swallow. Neck hurts when swallow. Pain is still there 4 days in and now have lower left back pain; onset gradual. It doesn't make sense, but just wondering if the 2 could be related since pain is on same side of body.
